Very comfortable and welcoming property. Lots of outside area for our dog to run around plus the fact that it is secure. Enjoyed the woodburner in the evening which was a real treat.
James 21st July 2018 A comfortable, spacious, dog-friendly cottage with a huge back garden . All the equipment you could wish for.

Cherry Tree Cottage is a well appointed, cosy, dog friendly cottage in a very quiet village, close to the beautiful Northumberland coastline. This cottage suits us very well, being so close to the Northumberland coast. We have stayed here once before.

Cherry Tree is a beautiful spacious cottage with everything provided to make anyone feel at home. There is a really large garden available for families to enjoy in warmer weather than we had! Well placed for access to the coast at Druridge Bay and lovely Warkworth. The Running Fox Cafe and Bakery at Felton (5 miles) makes great bread! The cottage is some 5 miles off the A1 and the access road is very winding.

Cherry Tree Cottage was fantastic. Home from home everything you needed was there. Location was ideal for walks into Warkworth & Amble. We also visited Berwick, Alnwick, Holy Island, Seahouses, Beadnell and lots of other places. We will definitely go back to Northumberland again.

Cherry Tree was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The garden was neat and tidy and there was plenty of outdoor seating. Parking was off road. The location of the cottage made it easy to visit several coastal villages i.e Amble and Alnmouth along with the Castle and Gardens in Alnwick. Everywhere we went we found lovely places to eat.

Great proportions to the rooms, well kitted out, lovely renovation of a cottage and the boys loved the huge garden. Kitchen was well equipped and we had ample hot water etc. Land ranger map and binoculars are a fantastic idea to have in the house, both returned after walks we had, thanks. We had a wonderful week in Cherry Tree cottage, it's very comfy with plenty of space for everyone. Well kitted out and a lovely setting and there's plenty to do round about. We are a young family and we enjoyed visiting Amble and Warkworth beaches, Bamburgh Castle, Whitehouse Farm Park and just walking through the numerous dunes and beaches along the coastline with a bit of wave jumping thrown in. The highlight of the holiday was a trip out on a boat with the Billy Shiel's company. Three hours of boating around the Farne islands and a landing in Inner Farne to see the historic island and its inhabitants of seabirds and of course the adorable puffins. Well worth the trip. Mainly cooked at home but we did have a fabulous meal at the Old Boathouse in Amble and a lovely coffee and cake in Dollie's & Daisy's Tearoom. Great holiday. We had a wonderful break and would definitely recommend Cherry Tree cottage to others and Cottages in Northumberland were a good company for us to deal with too.

The cottage was lovely perfect for guests with dogs with it's large enclosed back garden. Acklington village was very nice with a good dog friendly pub in easy walking distance and Morwick farm dairy ice-cream a short drive away. The only negative for me was the kitchen door is quite low and I am not!

Cherry Tree Cottage was well appointed and comfortable with an amazing, large garden. Our dogs enjoyed their stay as much as we did. During our stay, we particularly enjoyed the local beaches and nature reserves. We would also highly recommend a visit to Cragside

Lovely cottage tucked away in scenic village of Acklington. Our family enjoyed the outdoor space and we enjoyed chatting to the horses next door every morning. A great week!
